Aardlek is een concertserie met nieuwe composities waarbij Orkest De Ereprijs zowel opdrachtgever als uitvoerder is. Voor vier Aardlekconcerten vraagt De Ereprijs elk jaar aan meestal vier componisten met verschillende culturele achtergronden, verschillende leeftijden, verschillende nationaliteiten en natuurlijk elk met grote muzikale eigenheid, om een compositie te schrijven op basis van een urgent thema.

Daarnaast worden rondom dit thema reflecterend of in samenspraak met de muziek bijdragen geleverd door aansprekende gasten van buiten het muzikale veld (filosofie, literatuur of wetenschap). Na het succes van deze thematische benadering 2021-‘24 wordt Aardlek in 2025 met overkoepelende onderwerpen voortgezet: ‘Kapitalisme, Futurisme en Nostalgie’. In de afgelopen jaren heeft De Ereprijs tijdens de Aardlekconcertserie werken uitgevoerd van onder andere Jesse Broekman, Natalia Dominguez Rangel, Seung-Won Oh, Piet-Jan van Rossum, Janco Verduin, Danny de Graan, Nicoline Soeter, Rebecca Galian Castello en Franki Dodwell.

FaKruTu Dakar Edition

FaKruTu Dakar Edition is a vibrant mix of Senegalese percussion, vocals, and electric grooves by the FaKruTu Trio. Recorded live at TivoliVredenburg during the 15th anniversary of the World Music Forum NL, the performance showcases energetic and soulful music that crosses cultural boundaries.

FaKruTu Dakar Edition is a musical experience that spans from Dakar to Amsterdam, bringing together a passionate powerhouse of established musicians from Senegal, Netherlands, and the United States. Senegalese percussion and songs blend with the eclectic and electric grooves of the FaKruTu Trio. The band has built a reputation for delivering high-energy, soulful performances that get the audience on their feet.
