Sound of View

Wat gebeurt er als je één film vier keer bekijkt, telkens met een compleet andere soundtrack? In Sound of View, een zintuigprikkelend experiment van het Utrechtse muziekcollectief Postland, krijgt één en dezelfde film vier totaal verschillende gezichten. De korte film van elf minuten wordt vier keer achter elkaar vertoond, terwijl Postland live steeds een andere soundtrack speelt. De muziek is gecomponeerd door Friso van Wijck (Nederland), Juan Felipe Waller (Mexico), Yu Oda (Japan) en Katarzyna Szwed (Polen).

De film, getiteld Voorbij de wegen, is speciaal voor dit project gemaakt door de gerenommeerde cineaste Barbara Meter. Zij verweeft in de film materiaal uit haar omvangrijke persoonlijke archief met nieuw geschoten beelden. De première vindt plaats op zondag 14 september 2025 tijdens het Gaudeamus Festival. Daarna volgen uitvoeringen op locaties als het Eye Filmmuseum, De Doelen, Korzo en tijdens festival November Music.

FaKruTu Dakar Edition

FaKruTu Dakar Edition is a vibrant mix of Senegalese percussion, vocals, and electric grooves by the FaKruTu Trio. Recorded live at TivoliVredenburg during the 15th anniversary of the World Music Forum NL, the performance showcases energetic and soulful music that crosses cultural boundaries.

FaKruTu Dakar Edition is a musical experience that spans from Dakar to Amsterdam, bringing together a passionate powerhouse of established musicians from Senegal, Netherlands, and the United States. Senegalese percussion and songs blend with the eclectic and electric grooves of the FaKruTu Trio. The band has built a reputation for delivering high-energy, soulful performances that get the audience on their feet.
