Alba Rosa Viva! Festival 2024

Voor de vijfde keer vindt het tweejaarlijkse Alba Rosa Viva! Festival plaats rond het werk van de van oorsprong Italiaanse componiste en violiste Alba Rosa Viëtor (1889-1979). Deze keer met een wel heel bijzonder kamermuzikaal toptrio: blokfluitist Erik Bosgraaf, pianist Ralph van Raat en de jonge contrabassiste Sasha Witteveen. Zij spelen solo en als duo om uiteindelijk als trio te eindigen met een nieuw werk van componist Willem Jeths. Een concert met festivalsfeer vol ongehoorde combinaties en verrassende muziek.

Behalve een concertavond is deze avond ook de finale van de Alba Rosa Viëtor Composition Competition. Een deskundige jury bestaande uit de componisten Willem Jeths, Mathilde Wantenaar, Elena Firsova, Judith Weir en artistiek leider Reinild Mees kiest de winnaar. Het publiek mag stemmen voor de Publieksprijs. Na afloop van het concert is de feestelijke prijsuitreiking.

FaKruTu Dakar Edition

FaKruTu Dakar Edition is a vibrant mix of Senegalese percussion, vocals, and electric grooves by the FaKruTu Trio. Recorded live at TivoliVredenburg during the 15th anniversary of the World Music Forum NL, the performance showcases energetic and soulful music that crosses cultural boundaries.

FaKruTu Dakar Edition is a musical experience that spans from Dakar to Amsterdam, bringing together a passionate powerhouse of established musicians from Senegal, Netherlands, and the United States. Senegalese percussion and songs blend with the eclectic and electric grooves of the FaKruTu Trio. The band has built a reputation for delivering high-energy, soulful performances that get the audience on their feet.
