Dag in de Branding 2026

Componist, geluidskunstenaar en performer Evelien van den Broek koos als gastcurator van Dag in de Branding dit jaar voor het thema SPEELSHEID. Zo onderzoekt ensemble Sketch351 de relatie tussen eieren en ladders, Huba de Graaff 'danst uit eigen werk', neo-fanfare 9x13 gaat op zoek naar de spelende mens, en Van den Broek zelf komt met een droogkomische elektro-akoestische soundtrack als eerbetoon aan slapstickpionier Buster Keaton. De dag wordt afgesloten door Het Muziek, dat de honderdste verjaardag van György Kurtág viert.

FaKruTu Dakar Edition is a vibrant mix of Senegalese percussion, vocals, and electric grooves by the FaKruTu Trio. Recorded live at TivoliVredenburg during the 15th anniversary of the World Music Forum NL, the performance showcases energetic and soulful music that crosses cultural boundaries.

FaKruTu Dakar Edition is a musical experience that spans from Dakar to Amsterdam, bringing together a passionate powerhouse of established musicians from Senegal, Netherlands, and the United States. Senegalese percussion and songs blend with the eclectic and electric grooves of the FaKruTu Trio. The band has built a reputation for delivering high-energy, soulful performances that get the audience on their feet.
