Laat je meevoeren in dit muzikale experiment waarin gongs, hedendaagse composities en jong talent samenkomen in een vernieuwende manier van componeren en musiceren.

Jaarlijks creëert het Global Gongs Lab nieuwe composities voor de chromatische gamelan. Tijdens deze editie klinkt de nieuwe oogst van 2026: een veelzijdig programma waarin Javaanse gamelan, Indiase raga en minimal music elkaar ontmoeten. Deze ontmoetingen worden tijdens het concert uitvoerig toegelicht in demonstraties en publieksparticipatie.

FaKruTu Dakar Edition

FaKruTu Dakar Edition is a vibrant mix of Senegalese percussion, vocals, and electric grooves by the FaKruTu Trio. Recorded live at TivoliVredenburg during the 15th anniversary of the World Music Forum NL, the performance showcases energetic and soulful music that crosses cultural boundaries.

FaKruTu Dakar Edition is a musical experience that spans from Dakar to Amsterdam, bringing together a passionate powerhouse of established musicians from Senegal, Netherlands, and the United States. Senegalese percussion and songs blend with the eclectic and electric grooves of the FaKruTu Trio. The band has built a reputation for delivering high-energy, soulful performances that get the audience on their feet.
