Mostly Modern Festival

Met twaalf concerten brengt het Mostly Modern Festival een breed muzikaal programma van o.a. twaalf speciaal voor het festival geschreven composities. Uitvoerenden zijn in verschillende muzikale samenstellingen zoals het Dior String Quartet, Vocal piano met vocalisten Alyson Cambridge en Keith Pharesh, MMF ensemble. Ter afsluiting speelt het MMF symfonisch orkest naast werken van o.a. Patterson en Azarova een compositie gemaakt door leerlingen van Muziekschool Zeeland in samenwerking met componist Remy Alexander.

Food Matters

Op zondag 23 en 30 april zorgen de Foodcurators voor een designer maaltijd die je aanzet tot nadenken. Met hun pop-up restaurant FOOD MATTERS in de Oostkerk gaan ze in op de actualiteit, toekomst en uitdagingen in ons voedselsysteem. Denk aan gerechten zoals ‘vissers zonder water’ en de ‘uitvaart van een banaan’. Het restaurant wordt op 23 april muzikaal ingevuld door celliste Frances-Marie Uitti en op 30 april kun je luisteren naar het Brunsvik Trio. Bij beide evenementen is er een installatie van Marinus Boezem te zien.Over het Mostly Modern FestivalHet Mostly Modern Festival is een jaarlijks componistenfestival van naam in New York. Dit jaar vindt de tweede Nederlandse editie plaats. Van 20 t/m 30 april krijgen twaalf aanstormende componisten van over de hele wereld de kans om hun speciaal voor dit festival geschreven composities voor publiek te presenteren. Hun muziek wordt uitgevoerd door beroepsmusici in veelal voor dit festival samengestelde ensembles.

FaKruTu Dakar Edition

FaKruTu Dakar Edition is a vibrant mix of Senegalese percussion, vocals, and electric grooves by the FaKruTu Trio. Recorded live at TivoliVredenburg during the 15th anniversary of the World Music Forum NL, the performance showcases energetic and soulful music that crosses cultural boundaries.

FaKruTu Dakar Edition is a musical experience that spans from Dakar to Amsterdam, bringing together a passionate powerhouse of established musicians from Senegal, Netherlands, and the United States. Senegalese percussion and songs blend with the eclectic and electric grooves of the FaKruTu Trio. The band has built a reputation for delivering high-energy, soulful performances that get the audience on their feet.
