‘Requiem voor de buurt’ is een participatieproject bedacht door dirigent Josefine Straesser, in samenwerking met Kerk& Buurt Westerpark en de Nassaukerk.

In dit project kan iedereen die dat wil de eeuwenoude oorspronkelijke gregoriaanse melodieën uit een Requiem zingen. Onder leiding van dirigente Josefine Straesser Maurice Duruflé - "Requiem" voor koor, solisten, cello en orgel. Erik van Nevel - "Ubi Caritas" en "Salve Regina" voor koor. Nederlandse première. Anders Jallén - "Requiem voor nyckelharpa en contrabas". Wereldpremière.

FaKruTu Dakar Edition

FaKruTu Dakar Edition is a vibrant mix of Senegalese percussion, vocals, and electric grooves by the FaKruTu Trio. Recorded live at TivoliVredenburg during the 15th anniversary of the World Music Forum NL, the performance showcases energetic and soulful music that crosses cultural boundaries.

FaKruTu Dakar Edition is a musical experience that spans from Dakar to Amsterdam, bringing together a passionate powerhouse of established musicians from Senegal, Netherlands, and the United States. Senegalese percussion and songs blend with the eclectic and electric grooves of the FaKruTu Trio. The band has built a reputation for delivering high-energy, soulful performances that get the audience on their feet.
