Show Pony - I May Fall Into Sound

Show Pony is het soloproject van de in Amsterdam gevestigde Amerikaanse contrabassist en zangeres Laura Nygren. In haar nieuwe audiovisuele project 'I May Fall into Sound', dat ze maakte met Tatiana Rosa & Nina Kay, onderzoekt ze met een synthesizer de erosie van het menselijk lichaam als metafoor voor onze verouderende planeet. Daarbij focust ze zich op het kleine eroderende eiland Massancumock. Naar verwachting zal het eiland vlakbij de plek waar Nygren opgroeide, tegen 2026 verdwijnen in de omliggende zee.

Met behulp van beats, synths, strijkers en tekst creëert Show Pony atmosferische landschappen; een wereld om in te verdwijnen. Tijdens live optredens brengt zij deze landschappen voor het publiek tot leven door haar immersieve uitvoeringen.  In 2021 lanceerde Show Pony haar gelijknamige debuut-EP, gemaakt in samenwerking met producer/multi-instrumentalist No Compliments, in een speciaal ontworpen 3D-online ruimte tijdens de online editie van Rewire Festival. FaKruTu Dakar Edition

FaKruTu Dakar Edition is a vibrant mix of Senegalese percussion, vocals, and electric grooves by the FaKruTu Trio. Recorded live at TivoliVredenburg during the 15th anniversary of the World Music Forum NL, the performance showcases energetic and soulful music that crosses cultural boundaries.

FaKruTu Dakar Edition is a musical experience that spans from Dakar to Amsterdam, bringing together a passionate powerhouse of established musicians from Senegal, Netherlands, and the United States. Senegalese percussion and songs blend with the eclectic and electric grooves of the FaKruTu Trio. The band has built a reputation for delivering high-energy, soulful performances that get the audience on their feet.
