Op het grensvlak van menselijke mogelijkheden en technologische precisie ontmoeten het Fokker-orgel en het Yamaha disklavier elkaar. Door middel van live elektronica komen de instrumenten dichter bij elkaar óf worden juist de verschillen enorm benadrukt. In elk geval doemt er een geheel nieuwe klankwereld op uit de combinatie van deze instrumenten die worden uitgevoerd door verschillende componisten. Daarnaast schuift Anne Veinberg aan op het Fokker-orgel en de betoverende Carrillo-piano.

Sinds het Yamaha disklavier ook een vast onderdeel is van het instrumentarium van het Muziekgebouw, kunnen componisten hun wildste klankdromen waarmaken. Met deze twee computerbestuurbare instrumenten doen ze dit op vele manieren. Onvoorstelbare ‘geluidswolken’, een complexe toccata en fuga waarbij de machine het langzaam van de mens overneemt: alles is mogelijk in deze tot nu toe ongehoorde wereld. Beluister hier de playlist die Conlon Collective speciaal voor New Music NOW samenstelde.

FaKruTu Dakar Edition is a musical experience that spans from Dakar to Amsterdam, bringing together a passionate powerhouse of established musicians from Senegal, Netherlands, and the United States. Senegalese percussion and songs blend with the eclectic and electric grooves of the FaKruTu Trio. The band has built a reputation for delivering high-energy, soulful performances that get the audience on their feet.
