Joey Roukens presenteert zijn ‘Eerste symfonie’. Het stuk met ‘De kaleidskopische’ als ondertitel gaat in première bij het Rotterdams Philharmonisch Orkest. Daniil Trifonov speelt in hetzelfde programma het Pianoconcert van Mason Bates.

Het Rotterdams Philharmonisch Orkest over het programma: “Stunning. Staggering. Stupendous.’ De recensent van Bachtrack kwam superlatieven tekort na de première van het Pianoconcert (2021) van Mason Bates door duivelskunstenaar Daniil Trifonov. Ook in Rotterdam is hij de solist in dit hypnotiserende werk. Voor de overtreffende trap zorgt Joey Roukens – altijd goed voor een verhoogd adrenalinepeil – met zijn gloednieuwe Eerste symfonie. Stunning, zeg dat wel.”

FaKruTu Dakar Edition is a vibrant mix of Senegalese percussion, vocals, and electric grooves by the FaKruTu Trio. Recorded live at TivoliVredenburg during the 15th anniversary of the World Music Forum NL, the performance showcases energetic and soulful music that crosses cultural boundaries.

FaKruTu Dakar Edition is a musical experience that spans from Dakar to Amsterdam, bringing together a passionate powerhouse of established musicians from Senegal, Netherlands, and the United States. Senegalese percussion and songs blend with the eclectic and electric grooves of the FaKruTu Trio. The band has built a reputation for delivering high-energy, soulful performances that get the audience on their feet.
