Opening van de Eindhovense editie van de Dag van de Componist in de hal van het centraal station door CoMA Eindhoven, blazers van de Philharmonie Brainport, leerlingen van Guido Lap en Steven Henry.

21 juni | 13:00 - 13:30 | Eindhoven Centraal Station | gratis toegankelijkConcert begint met “What the Funk is going on?” gecomponeerd door Mark Hendriks. Hoe krijg je het publiek met een goed in het gehoor liggende groove toch in verwarring dat ze zich gaan afvragen wat gebeurt hier nu? Nou met polyritmiek, bitonaliteit en accenten op de “verkeerde” plek! Funk nu eens op een iets andere manier dan wat we gewend zijn. Een combo, instrumentalisten en zangers gevormd uit CoMA Eindhoven, Philharmonie Brainport en iedereen die verder mee wil komen doen openen de dag van de componist in Eindhoven op een bijzondere manier. FaKruTu Dakar Edition is a musical experience that spans from Dakar to Amsterdam, bringing together a passionate powerhouse of established musicians from Senegal, Netherlands, and the United States. Senegalese percussion and songs blend with the eclectic and electric grooves of the FaKruTu Trio. The band has built a reputation for delivering high-energy, soulful performances that get the audience on their feet.
