In deze aflevering spreekt Aad van Nieuwkerk met componist Vanessa Lann. Vanessa Lann, geboren in New York, maar studerend en werkend in Nederland sinds 1990. In Den Haag studeerde ze bij Theo Loevendie en Gilius van Bergeijk. Zij was een van de vier componisten van wie in december 2025 een stuk werd gespeeld in het project Parelduiken, in de Herz in TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht.

FaKruTu Dakar Edition is a musical experience that spans from Dakar to Amsterdam, bringing together a passionate powerhouse of established musicians from Senegal, Netherlands, and the United States. Senegalese percussion and songs blend with the eclectic and electric grooves of the FaKruTu Trio. The band has built a reputation for delivering high-energy, soulful performances that get the audience on their feet.
