Componist, geluidskunstenaar en performer Evelien van den Broek (aka Leafsheep) is de gastcurator van de Dag in de Branding op 21 februari. Zij koos voor het thema SPEELSHEID en geeft hier met verve invulling aan, met optredens van Neo-fanfare 9×13, het Spaceship Ensemble en een voorstelling van componiste Huba de Graaff die “danst uit eigen werk”. Daarna speelt 7090 B[L]OOM. ‘S avonds speelt in De Nieuwe Kerk Het Muziek een programma met werken van onder andere György Ligeti, Mayke Nas en Richard Ayres.

FaKruTu Dakar Edition

FaKruTu Dakar Edition is a vibrant mix of Senegalese percussion, vocals, and electric grooves by the FaKruTu Trio. Recorded live at TivoliVredenburg during the 15th anniversary of the World Music Forum NL, the performance showcases energetic and soulful music that crosses cultural boundaries.

FaKruTu Dakar Edition is a musical experience that spans from Dakar to Amsterdam, bringing together a passionate powerhouse of established musicians from Senegal, Netherlands, and the United States. Senegalese percussion and songs blend with the eclectic and electric grooves of the FaKruTu Trio. The band has built a reputation for delivering high-energy, soulful performances that get the audience on their feet.
