New Music Conference is the annual meeting for the contemporary music community, held during the November Music festival in ’s-Hertogenbosch. It brings together composers, performers, programmers, publishers, and other professionals to exchange ideas, share knowledge, and explore what’s next in the world of new music. With a strong focus on professional development and international collaboration, the conference offers inspiring keynotes, panels, and networking sessions. It also celebrates outstanding talent with awards such as the Buma Classical Award, honouring creators who push artistic boundaries and contribute to the future of contemporary music. As part of Buma Cultuur’s mission to support Dutch music, New Music Conference helps amplify the voices of composers and creators working in experimental, interdisciplinary, and contemporary classical music. Whether you’re a young composer, an ensemble leader, or a presenter looking for new work, this is the place to connect and engage with the new music scene in the Netherlands and beyond.
