Vier jonge componisten genomineerd voor de Tera de Marez Oyens Prijs 2026

Tijdens de komende editie van Gaudeamus Festival in Utrecht wordt de Tera de Marez Oyens Prijs uitgereikt. De prijs staat in het teken van het stimuleren van recent in Nederland afgestudeerd componeertalent en het overbruggen van de stap tussen opleiding en beroepspraktijk. De prijs bestaat uit een bedrag van € 2.500, bestemd voor een nieuwe opdracht om een korte compositie voor een professioneel ensemble te schrijven. Het werk zal worden uitgevoerd tijdens Gaudeamus Festival 2027.

Uitreiking

De genomineerde werken worden op 12 september 2026 uitgevoerd tijdens het Gaudeamus Festival in De Kikker in Utrecht. Aansluitend wordt de prijswinnaar bekend gemaakt. Tijdens het juryberaad wordt Mixed Feelings (1973) van Tera de Marez Oyens uitgevoerd door Storm Bakker (synthesizer), Jos Zwanenburg (elektronica) en Onno Witte (slagwerk).

FaKruTu Dakar Edition

FaKruTu Dakar Edition is a vibrant mix of Senegalese percussion, vocals, and electric grooves by the FaKruTu Trio. Recorded live at TivoliVredenburg during the 15th anniversary of the World Music Forum NL, the performance showcases energetic and soulful music that crosses cultural boundaries.

FaKruTu Dakar Edition is a musical experience that spans from Dakar to Amsterdam, bringing together a passionate powerhouse of established musicians from Senegal, Netherlands, and the United States. Senegalese percussion and songs blend with the eclectic and electric grooves of the FaKruTu Trio. The band has built a reputation for delivering high-energy, soulful performances that get the audience on their feet.
