In Displacement, the first collaboration between Saskia Lankhoorn and the composer, a work for piano, soundtrack, and projection was created for Het Ei, with a second composition now being added to the project during the concert-less lockdown period.

Displacement is the first collaboration between Saskia Lankhoorn, a pianist, and me. In 2020, I composed a work for piano, soundtrack, and projection, specifically tailored to the unique acoustics of Het Ei, a former photo studio at Hilvaria Studio's. The first and only performance of this piece took place on November 1, 2020, just before the Netherlands entered a long lockdown. During this concert-less period, plans were developed to add a second composition to the Displacement project, for which this application is intended.

FaKruTu Dakar Edition

FaKruTu Dakar Edition is a vibrant mix of Senegalese percussion, vocals, and electric grooves by the FaKruTu Trio. Recorded live at TivoliVredenburg during the 15th anniversary of the World Music Forum NL, the performance showcases energetic and soulful music that crosses cultural boundaries.

FaKruTu Dakar Edition is a musical experience that spans from Dakar to Amsterdam, bringing together a passionate powerhouse of established musicians from Senegal, Netherlands, and the United States. Senegalese percussion and songs blend with the eclectic and electric grooves of the FaKruTu Trio. The band has built a reputation for delivering high-energy, soulful performances that get the audience on their feet.
