Gerard Beljon

Evolutie thumbnail

In this live performance, Gerard Beljon's Evolutie comes to life through a blend of violin, vocals, and accordion, as Duo Rozemond & Bekkers transform intimate, home-recorded samples into an experimental musical collage.

Gerard Beljon's Evolutie (2020) was created from a series of audio samples recorded by Duo Rozemond & Bekkers in their own living rooms. The result is a stunning collage of sound, blending violin, vocals, and accordion into a dynamic, experimental composition. Recorded live at the Grote Kerk in Muiden on December 12, 2020, this performance highlights the interplay of acoustic textures, enhanced by Co Woudsma's text and a captivating video by Beljon himself.
