Les Mis Stars Russell Crowe Matched to Philip Quast
After watching the film, I wanted to edit the song to match Philip Quast version. Nothing fancy. Just cut up the video down to a few lines, words, and in some cases syllables and letters. Then slowed or sped them up by eye & ear to match Quast from the Complete Symphonic Recording of Les Mis. Crowes' pronunciation in many of the lines did not have the dramatic emphasis as Quast "The Doorway" line was a pain, as were a few others. It's not perfect, but hey. I started it as a joke, then kept going. I thought Russell Crowe was good (Visually) as Javert. However his voice had none of the self righteous contempt that Javert has. I thought his voice / singing style would have worked well as the Bishop (if it was not filled by Colm Wilkinson)
