Emine Bostanci and Maya Fridman join forces in ‘Dareyn’, blending the ancient kemenche with cello and percussion, creating evocative dialogues filled with untold stories. This collaboration includes Modar Salama on percussion.

Emine Bostanci is an award-winning classical kemenche and Cretan lyra musician. Her project ‘Dareyn’ combines the ancient sound of the kemenche – originating from Istanbul and the Silk Road – with the modern sound of the cello. Together with cellist Maya Fridman, they blend their vocal talents with instrumental expertise, complemented by Modar Salama on percussion. FaKruTu Dakar Edition

FaKruTu Dakar Edition is a vibrant mix of Senegalese percussion, vocals, and electric grooves by the FaKruTu Trio. Recorded live at TivoliVredenburg during the 15th anniversary of the World Music Forum NL, the performance showcases energetic and soulful music that crosses cultural boundaries.

FaKruTu Dakar Edition is a musical experience that spans from Dakar to Amsterdam, bringing together a passionate powerhouse of established musicians from Senegal, Netherlands, and the United States. Senegalese percussion and songs blend with the eclectic and electric grooves of the FaKruTu Trio. The band has built a reputation for delivering high-energy, soulful performances that get the audience on their feet.
