A violin tour de force, The Music of Erich Zann by Julija Hartig explores madness and cosmic horrors, enhanced with special visual effects by Juan Felipe Waller to bring the nightmarish visions to life.

The Music of Erich Zann is based on H.P. Lovecraft’s story of the same name. This violin masterpiece, lasting about 8 minutes, was written for my dear friend and long-time collaborator Julija Hartig. The composition portrays the struggle of a musician slowly descending into madness while using her playing to fend off horrors from a strange universe. The piece pushes us to the extremes of both composition and violin technique. In addition to the performance recording, special visual effects depicting the hellish visions in the attic window will be created by Juan Felipe Waller.

FaKruTu Dakar Edition

FaKruTu Dakar Edition is a vibrant mix of Senegalese percussion, vocals, and electric grooves by the FaKruTu Trio. Recorded live at TivoliVredenburg during the 15th anniversary of the World Music Forum NL, the performance showcases energetic and soulful music that crosses cultural boundaries.

FaKruTu Dakar Edition is a musical experience that spans from Dakar to Amsterdam, bringing together a passionate powerhouse of established musicians from Senegal, Netherlands, and the United States. Senegalese percussion and songs blend with the eclectic and electric grooves of the FaKruTu Trio. The band has built a reputation for delivering high-energy, soulful performances that get the audience on their feet.
