Zeven studenten compositie werden voorgedragen door hun docenten aan de Nederlandse conservatoria voor een presentatie tijdens New Music Conference. In een vrolijke en speelse atmosfeer stelden vier vrouwen en drie mannen zichzelf en hun werk in kort bestek voor aan het publiek én een professionele jury. Als beste ‘pitcher’ kwam naar voren Elizabete Rudzinska, afkomstig uit Letland en studerend aan het Conservatorium van Amsterdam.

FaKruTu Dakar Edition is a vibrant mix of Senegalese percussion, vocals, and electric grooves by the FaKruTu Trio. Recorded live at TivoliVredenburg during the 15th anniversary of the World Music Forum NL, the performance showcases energetic and soulful music that crosses cultural boundaries.

FaKruTu Dakar Edition is a musical experience that spans from Dakar to Amsterdam, bringing together a passionate powerhouse of established musicians from Senegal, Netherlands, and the United States. Senegalese percussion and songs blend with the eclectic and electric grooves of the FaKruTu Trio. The band has built a reputation for delivering high-energy, soulful performances that get the audience on their feet.
