Medusa by Saskia Venegas, performed by Maya Fridman, is a four-part composition for cello solo, electronics, and voice. Inspired by the myth of Medusa, the piece explores themes of trauma, PTSD, and isolation. The haunting sounds of the cello, paired with electronics and voice, express the deep emotional complexity of Medusa’s transformation and suffering.
